Accelerated Reader Bookfinder is a site where you can find the AR level, points, and quiz number for the books you want to read. Not all books are listed as Accelerated Reader books, "You can search for book titles based on authors, topics, or titles of books. Just type what you want to search for in the blank field above and click Search. You will then be able to sort your search results, select book titles to add to your AR BookBag, print a list of your search results, or start a new search."
Bookflix is a wonderful website, providing approximately 250 books online, that can either be accessed from school or from home. At home, the user name and password is avillar13. This site has 125 pairs of fiction and nonfiction books that reflect a similar theme or topic. There are additional activities as well.
Core Clicks is an online database for students and teachers. Each student has their own symbol for their username and password. You will receive this at Open House or with the papers you receive from the first day of school. On this site you can find:

Epic is an online resource with both fiction and nonfiction books. Students can use this site by typing in the class code, jvc0435 and searching their avatar by last name, first name. Students can only use this site for free during school hours. Additional student, family and educator resources can be found on a Google document.
Khan Academy: a non -profit online resource tool with an abundance of video lessons and more for students.
MAP Practice Forms: On this site, you can find documents, grades 3rd-8th for MAP practice. Although these are hard copy items and we take our test online, the wording and questions can provide a good idea of what students will see on their screens during MAP testing. Storybirdis an online storybook making website. As an educational tool, students can read stories that were created by other users on the web. They can also create their own stories by selecting pictures, dragging and dropping them into their books, and adding text.
Storylineonline.net: Professional actors read some of their favorite stories. This site contains a variety of young literature. Accompanying the stories are activities the teacher and family can use to support learning, using the story as an anchor for discussion and reference.
